Since there is no family fun stimulus package that I know of, getting creative is in order! Here are a few ideas to try with your family!....
- Go for a walk
- Make pizza together
- Have game night
- Have video night - try a drive-in by setting up a TV in your garage and watching in your car.
- Candlelight dinner (I loved this when I was a kid!)
- Fondue
- Hike
- Picnic
- Go for a drive
- Attend local college events
- Sledding
- Go to the park
- Visit a museum
- BBQ
- Fishing
- Stargazing
- Bike Ride
- Read a book in a fun setting (outside, under a blanket, etc)
- Play kickball, baseball, kick-the-can
- Roast marshmallows/make s'mores
- Watch home videos
- Do a service project
- Carve pumpkins
- Have a talent show
- Make crafts
- Do home pedicures (this is what my family needs to do!)
- Make cookies and take them to someone in the neighborhood you don't know
- Watch the sunset
- Home Depot has free children's projects on the first Saturday of each month. They get a little orange apron and do a craft
- Lowe's does free project workshops every other Saturday. You can register online at Lowes.com.
- Barnes and Noble has an awesome kids' section. They also have story time on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.
- Local library
- Check out restaurant.com. They have 60-80% off specials. You can get $25 gift certificates to certain restaurants for only $2. (Trust me, I've done it!)
Any other ideas? Leave a comment and share!!! =)

Those are just awesome and inspiring ideas! You don't need lots of money to have fun with the family. I didn't even know about Lowes and Home Depot but we don't live near either of them so it stands to reason. Still, I think it is neat that they offer those activities. Thanks for sharing!
What a great list. And so timely for what most of us are experiencing these days. Thanks!
What great ideas! Thanks for sharing them - we've been looking for free, fun ideas so we can use our money for all the therapy we pay for each month!
