You Are a Good Parent

You Are A Good Parent - There may be people in your life who would tell you different. Your discipline seems too strict, or too lax. You don’t shuttle your child to all the right activities. You’re not pushing her to be at the top of her class - happy and passing is a pretty good goal. Sometimes he acts up in church or melts down at the mall and you feel those judgmental stares. You may hear that you’re causing your child’s problems or handling them all wrong, but you know your child better than anybody. You know what works; you know what she can handle; you create an environment in which she can be successful. Doing what’s best for your child without worrying what other might think - isn’t that just what any good parent would do?

Amen, and when I begin to wonder about my aability to be a good parent I remember that God gave me my three precious once because I could mother them like no other!!! So when people may say I would never let my child do that or I would do this, I kindly say: "That is why God did not bless you with these three amazing children." Keep telling it like it is Tara, so encouraging and right on!!!!

Most of us are good parents, I wonder sometimes, about the Octo Mom who comes home from shopping all day at 12:00 am with GAP bags and...she hasn't been with her newborn premie babies ALL day...it's not fair to the babies. So altho most of us do our best, there are some parents who should not be parents or... I just get frustrated when I see all the publicity Nadya S receives and her babies need her, she's no where to be found. Sure she puts on a show for the Press, but in reality, she's not there for her kids. We need to be PRESENT for our children to be 'Good Parents' that's the main gift we can give our children. I'm home, I'm here taking care of my twin 1 yr old boys, it's difficult and challenging at times, but I had them because I WANT them. I love being a mom! :)
