Chloe has gone through a few phases that required some discipline... I had absolutely no idea how to go about that discipline, but I knew it was needed. We were referred to a neruopsychologist and she recommended 1-2-3 Magic by Thomas W. Phelan, PhD. I absolutely loved it. The principles are simple, easy to remember and relatively easy to implement.

I've also read Love & Logic for Kids With Special Needs by David Funk. This didn't resonate as much for me, at least in this stage of Chloe's life, but I wanted to mention it because I adore Love & Logic principles.
For more food for thought on discipline, go to 10 Secrets to Implementing Timeouts at Home by Aupair.org.
I've also started to compile a list of all the special needs books that have been recommended to me on this pin board. Check it out! And please leave a comment if you have any book recommendations, regarding discipline or any other special needs subjects!
