Adaptive Games
When playing games with your family why not adapt the games that your family likes to play to suit your child. I thought that by switching the small dice out for larger ones that Hailey can pick up and toss would be a fun way to teach Hailey how to count, and instead of using the small circular disks that come with the game, I switched them out for chess pieces that stand upright. This is a good way to hone in on her motor skills. We played this the other night and though we didn't get very far, she did enjoy shaking the dice in a shaker and trying to move her chess pieces around the board. I can't wait to try this one again.
Hailey likes to put things away, so another activity that we do to help her motor skills is to put clothespins around the rim of a basket and have her pinch the clothespins off and put them in the basket. Be selective with your clothespins, they come in many different sizes, some are plastic and others wood. Try them yourself to see which are easiest, another great way to have fun while working on motor skills.

Great idea Janet. We are actually learning how to adapt activities to fit a person special needs in my college courses right now :)
